What Libot Is

Libot (libot.ph) helps guests discover resorts, villas, transient houses, hotels, and other places to stay across the Philippines. Libot is an information directory — we do not process bookings or payments.

Information We Collect

We do not ask you for personal information. There are no guest accounts, no login forms, and no registration on Libot. We do, however, use an analytics service (see Analytics below) that collects limited, pseudonymous usage data to help us understand how the site is used.

Your theme preference (light, dark, or auto) is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This is not a cookie and is never transmitted to our servers.

Analytics

Libot uses Google Analytics 4 to measure how visitors find and use the site. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) in your browser to tell one visit apart from another. It collects pseudonymous information including the pages you view, your approximate location (derived from your IP address, which Google does not retain), device and browser type, and how you interact with listings — for example clicking a contact button, running a search, or navigating a 360° tour.

This data is processed by Google on our behalf and is used only to understand site usage and improve Libot. We do not use it to identify you personally, and Libot does not display advertising or run remarketing. For details on how Google handles this data, see Google's Privacy Policy.

You can opt out at any time by blocking cookies in your browser settings or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Listing Information

Listing data displayed on Libot — including establishment names, descriptions, photos, and contact information — is sourced from publicly available Facebook pages and other public sources. We compile this information to help guests find places to stay.

Hosting and Infrastructure

Libot is hosted on Microsoft Azure. Your requests are processed by Azure data centers. Standard web server logs (IP address, request URL, timestamp) may be retained by the hosting infrastructure for operational and security purposes.

Third-Party Services

We use Google Analytics as a third-party analytics provider, as described above. Aside from that, we do not share your data with third parties for advertising or tracking. The site uses content delivery infrastructure provided by Microsoft Azure to serve images.

Your Rights

The only information we collect about guests is the limited, pseudonymous analytics data described above, which is not tied to your identity. You can stop it being collected at any time using the opt-out options in the Analytics section. If you believe we hold any information about you, you may contact us to request access or deletion.
